Who we are
Aspire in Ecology is run by Aspire to Grow Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16223102, whose registered office is 1 Kensington Avenue, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6 8EH.
These terms cover your use of this website. By using it, you are accepting them.
What this site is
Aspire in Ecology is a career, employer and information platform for the UK ecology profession. It exists so that ecologists can find out who the employers are, what the work actually involves and how to get better at it, and so that ecology companies have somewhere to be found all year rather than only when they are hiring.
What this site is not
We are not a recruitment agency and we do not host applications. We never ask you to upload a CV, and we do not pass your details to employers.
Every opportunity listed here links out to the employer’s own website. From the moment you follow that link you are dealing with them, under their terms and their privacy policy, not ours.
Information on employer profiles
An employer profile carries information the employer has given us. We check that a profile is not obviously wrong, but we do not verify every claim in it, and we cannot promise that a vacancy or a piece of company information is still current on the day you read it.
If something on a profile is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will take it up with the employer.
Information elsewhere on the site
Career advice, the Ecology Hub and the university directory are written and gathered in good faith, and we keep them as accurate as we can.
They are general information rather than professional advice about your own situation. Courses, fees, licences and entry requirements all change, so check anything that matters with the organisation itself before you act on it.
Using the site fairly
You are welcome to read the site, link to it and share it, and we would rather you did.
You may not copy the employer directory or any substantial part of it, collect it automatically with a scraper or a bot, or reuse our content to build a competing service. You must not try to break into the site, overload it, or use it for anything unlawful.
Who owns what
The words, design, photographs and code on this site belong to Aspire to Grow Ltd, or to whoever licensed them to us. Employer logos and the content of employer profiles belong to those employers.
You may quote a short passage with a link back to the page it came from. Anything more than that needs our permission first, and we are not difficult about giving it.
Links to other websites
We link out constantly, because signposting people to the right organisation is most of the point of this site. We do not control those websites and we are not responsible for what is on them.
Employer membership
Employer membership is a separate agreement between the employer and us. Nothing on this website forms part of it.
What the site says about membership levels is a summary written for readers, not the terms of the agreement itself.
If something goes wrong
We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot promise that it always will be. We are not liable for loss caused by relying on general information here, or by a website we have linked to.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
Changes, and the law that applies
We may change these terms. The version on this page, with the date at the top of it, is always the current one.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
